The Dock was great when it was released in 2001. Today, you need more power and functionality. You can configure uBar 4 to be either the macOS Dock or taskbar. - Refined Design

You can expand the uBar borders up to 5 lines by dragging. The apps feature easy-to-read badges, and you can tell if they’re hidden by their faded names. uBar 4 includes a Favorites section for your most frequently used apps, as well as built-in desktop and recycle bin favorites. You can access an alternate menu that lets you quickly close any app with a right-click (or Control-click). If an app is unresponsive, you’ll immediately notice it by its red background. Hold down the Control key to enter Activity mode, which displays the CPU and memory usage for each app. Hold down the Shift key to close any app or window with a single click.
